We have a number of advanced carvers with over 30 years of carving experience and some new commers that can help you with a great hobby or assist you into an artistic venture. A special journey that will make you some friends, add some mentors, and experience some great fellowship. Now, just drop buy, pour a cup of coffee, grab a donut or cookie, pull up a chair and set a spell. Beginners are always welcome. Advice is free put we do charge for bad jokes. Now y’all come on by. Inclement weather closing policy. Foxfire will be closed on days that Rogers School District or Rogers churches are closed. Exceptions will be emailed to club members. History The club was organized in 1977 by a small group of carvers and now has grown to over 50 carvers. The club started annual shows in 1978 and has evolved into a respected show, competition and sales event drawing carvers from far and wide. The Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas is an organization bringing together people with a common interest in carving and preserving an art form dating back to Egyptian times. The club further enhances the members’ interest and abilities through the exchange of ideas, techniques and information; promoting the art of woodcarving and provides a very enjoyable fellowship with carvers from across Northwest Arkansas and the Ozarks region. The Club has accumulated an extensive library of over 350 books, videos and 35 resin cast go- bys. All this is available to members on a check out basis, to be returned in two weeks. Beginner classes and other specific classes are offfered from time to time at the club house. The club helps host the War Eagle Woodcarving Seminar each year. Club is active in the regional Carve-Ins held each quarter at Grove, Flint Ridge and here at Foxfire. Membership is $20.00 paid annually. Drop by Foxfire and pick up an application.
